School Boundary Analysis System
School Boundary Analysis System converts a student database into a mappable format and displays the distribution of the student population for statistical and spatial analyses. Different plans for redrawing school boundaries can be generated for comparative analyses in order to delineate the most desirable boundaries.
Function:
Database Manager:
- convert ASCII or dBASE files of student database into a mappable format,
- automatically geocode student records to street maps,
- interactive geocoding of addresses not automatically geocoded.
Student Mapping:
- Display student distributions with streets, school bound
School Analysis:
- Generate a table of students for any selected school based on ethnicity, gender,
- special-ed, free lunch, reduced lunch by grade.
District Analysis:
- Generate a table for all schools based on ethnicity, gender, etc. by grade.
Boundary Editor:
- Edit school boundaries for any possible boundary plan. School and district analyses can be conducted according to any revised boundary plan.
